An armored shielded cable integrates two separate protection systems: an inner metallic shield that guards against electromagnetic interference, and a tough external metal armor that provides resistance to mechanical impact. This design makes it well-suited for harsh industrial settings where power or data cables are exposed to heavy traffic, physical stress, or high electrical noise.
Application
Industrial Automation
These cables are employed in sensor networks, control panels, and machinery operating in proximity to high-voltage equipment or large electric motors.
Direct Burial
Armored versions may be installed directly underground without additional PVC conduit protection, as the metallic armor effectively withstands soil compaction, rocky terrain, and rodent activity.

Hazardous Environments
They are regularly used in mining operations, oil and gas facilities, refineries, and heavy industrial plants where cables are exposed to rough handling and mechanical stress.
Telecommunications
The cables also safeguard fiber optic and high-speed data lines routed beneath floors, through industrial overhead spaces, or in external installations.
Operating Conditions
Voltage Rating: The cable is rated at U0/U = 450/750V.
Thermal Performance: Two thermal classes are available for the conductor's sustained service temperature – 70°C and 95°C. The lower limit for installation temperature is 0°C.
Bend Radius Guidelines: The following minimum values apply (expressed as multiples of cable outer diameter): 6× for unarmored cables, 12× for armored or copper tape shielded types, and 6× for shielded flexible cables.

Product Advantages
Mechanical Protection
The steel tape armor offers robust physical defense, enabling the cable to withstand external compression and tensile forces. This makes it ideal for direct burial installations or applications where mechanical damage is a potential concern – suitable for control cable Cu/PVC/SH/PVC 300/500V, class 5.
Corrosion Resistance
With its steel tape armor, the cable resists chemical attack and everyday abrasion, rendering it well-suited for aggressive environments including chemical processing facilities and offshore platforms.
Interference Suppression
The armored construction also delivers a degree of electromagnetic screening, mitigating external noise effects on signal integrity and thereby enhancing transmission reliability.
