Fire Rated Flexible Cable

NH-KVV belongs to a family of fire-resistant control cables engineered to keep command and control loops functioning throughout a fire incident. Its operational endurance is dictated by the performance criteria set forth in applicable industry standards. Typical construction features copper conductors, a mica-based flame-barrier layer, PVC dielectric insulation, and an outer PVC protective cover. This design makes NH-KVV particularly appropriate for emergency command networks and essential auxiliary circuits found in both commercial buildings and industrial facilities. The cable proves especially valuable where uninterrupted signal transmission is crucial for safe occupant evacuation, active fire-protection infrastructure, and continued operation of life-safety equipment.

Fire Performance

Under direct flame, these cables resist short-circuiting for a specified time window. This delay aids personnel and property removal while substantially reducing overall fire damage.

Under normal continuous operation, the conductor temperature should be maintained at 70°C maximum.

In the event of a short-circuit event-lasting no fewer than 5 seconds-the conductor's peak allowable temperature is capped at 160°C.

Installation ambient temperature must be above 0°C; if conditions fall below this threshold, pre-warming of the cable is mandatory prior to laying.
Bending Radius Requirements: For multi-core constructions, the minimum bending radius shall be 6 times the cable's overall outer diameter (D). Note: D denotes the cable's external diameter in millimeters, while d refers to the conductor's individual outer diameter.
